Stories like this just warm my heart, and yours too, I bet.
“The Poodle that came home,” in Sunday’s (Aug. 1) Santa Rosa Press-Democrat, is about memorablia from a famous San Francisco restaurant -- and its proprietors -- that was restored to its owners after 30 years.
The papers found in an antique dresser had changed hands more than once when the new owner decided to make a try at finding whose they were.
Rather than repeat the whole story here, I encourage you to go online and find the article for yourself. It is all about persistence and research and happy endings -- like much of genealogy.

This reminds me of the movie Hachiko: The dog story. He waited Richard Geere for so long hoping he will come back home. Until one day they found each other again, in the next life. Very heart tearing story.
